デリバティブ
いまや、ポートフォリオ理論（http://www.nomura.co.jp/terms/search/port_unyo.html）は、ファンドマネージャーにとって常識でしょうし、会計の世界でも減損会計で割引率を計算する際に、CAPM（http://www.nomura.co.jp/terms/english/c/capm.html）を使う場合があります。
大前研一氏も著書「ザ・プロフェッショナル」の中で、「銀行借入が市場からの直接金融になるだけではなく、デリバティブやヘッジングなどのマルチプル（倍率）経済が、突然、通貨や株価をゆすぶっている」との記述しています。
そして、今回は、中でもデリバティブの評価について取り上げてみたいと思います。というのも、デリバティブ取引が理工科の優秀な人材によって研究開発され、ますます専門化している一方で、複雑な金融商品が規模の小さな会社対しても売り込まれているという実態があるのではないかと思うからです。
こうしたケースでは、経営者はその金融商品の内容を十分に理解しないままに金融機関との付き合いからデリバティブ取引を行い、今、損をしているのか得をしているかについても関心を持たないということも現実にあるのではないでしょうか？
そこで、そもそもデリバティブとはどういうものなのか、基本的な性格について考えていてみたいと思った次第です。
